The Mentoring Programme is a 12 month programme of support that kicks off with three days of intensive training designed to fast-track your success in the lift industry. Whether you’re new to the industry, looking to transition from another trade, or considering self-employment, this programme provides expert-led training, industry insights, and networking opportunities to help you move forward.

The programme is ideal for new entrants looking to break into the lift industry, construction and engineering professionals who want to transfer their skills, existing lift industry workers who want to gain qualifications and advance and those considering self-employment or subcontracting but don’t know where to start

You’ll gain a solid understanding of the lift industry and career opportunities and Insights into how lift companies operate and where the best earnings are. You'll also get expert knowledge about self-employment and subcontracting, confidence building exercises, live coaching, and interview skills and access to industry experts who will share their real world experiences

No, the programme is designed for both beginners and experienced professionals looking to improve their career prospects.

The 12 month programme includes three days of in person training delivered by industry professionals access to our private WhatsApp support group for ongoing guidance and support. Support on entering the lift industry and preparing for job interviews, job write ups and course handouts for essential reading. It also includes an invitation for you and a guest to join us at an Employer Open Day, providing direct exposure to lift employers, hiring managers and decision makers.

After completing the mentoring programme, you can opt to join our coaching club for monthly online sessions to continue your learning and development. We have an Inner Circle group (please note by invitation only) which is a structured business start-up programme for those wanting to launch their own lift business. Other areas of our support can include NVQ unit(s) or full accreditation to a regulated NVQ qualification to help you prove your competence and increase your earning potential with an employer.

We also have our Mastermind Programme which is our advanced coaching and networking with industry veterans looking to buy or sell companies and our Sub-Contracting App which is a platform to help you find part-time, ad hoc, and remote work in the lift industry. Please note that the Mastermind Programme and the Sub-Contracting App are currently in the development stage.

Yes! We provide detailed guidance on how to set up your own business, find work, and subcontract to major lift companies. Many of our past delegates have successfully gone self-employed after attending.

The app will allow you to find short-term and remote lift jobs, manage your contracts and clients easily and work flexible hours while still being in control of your income

While the Mentoring Programme itself doesn’t provide an NVQ, we offer support on how to complete your NVQ2 or NVQ3 to those looking to become fully certified. We also provide information on EOR202N onsite lift safety training, which is highly valued in the industry.

This depends on your experience level, but usually between 12 months and 3 years, again experienced professionals can achieve NVQ certification in a shorter time frame than standard routes.

The 3 day training runs from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM on both days, lunch and refreshments are provided.
