With a strong sense of purpose, she enrolled on one of our short training courses. The experience not only gave her hands-on knowledge but also boosted her confidence in an unfamiliar sector.
Her commitment paid off. Shortly after completing the course, Kacey secured an apprenticeship with a lift company in Tilbury.

Jack had always been hands-on, with a solid background installing large plasma screens, aerial systems, and handling complex patch panel video distribution setups. Combined with his earlier college studies in business and leisure, he wasn’t short on experience or versatility. But like many people trying to re-enter the job market after a break, Jack found himself stuck — highly capable, but overlooked.
He heard about our course and decided to give it a go, even though he wasn’t sure if the lift industry was for him. What he found surprised him. Through our focused, fast-track training, Jack reconnected with his technical strengths, picked up new, industry-relevant skills, and began to see how his previous experience could be applied in a whole new direction.
We helped Jack build a clearer picture of where he fit into the sector — not just by giving him knowledge, but by showing him how to package and present his skills to employers in a way that made sense. Within weeks of completing the course, Jack had a new path, renewed confidence, and a clear direction forward.
His story is a reminder that no matter your background, when you’re given the right tools and support, a fresh start is entirely within reach.

When Neil first joined our training programme, he was unemployed and looking for a way to break into a stable, well-paying industry. With no recent experience and feeling unsure about job interviews, he needed both a skills upgrade and a confidence boost.
Our two-day course gave Neil exactly that.
We focused on refreshing his industry knowledge, introducing him to a wide range of lift systems, safety protocols, and hands-on technical skills. But the training didn’t stop there—we also helped him prepare for interviews and gave him guidance on how to present his strengths to potential employers.
Thanks to this support, Neil successfully landed an interview with a major lift firm in Swanley, Kent—and got the job.
But Neil didn’t stop with employment. Inspired by the business knowledge shared during the course and the mentoring support he received, Neil began to explore self-employment. We walked him through the practicalities of starting up on his own: from how to set up as a subcontractor to understanding the day-to-day operations of running a lift service business.
Today, Neil runs his own small lift business. He subcontracts work from several well-known lift firms and enjoys more income, flexibility, and job security than ever before. He’s built a career that works for him—and it all started with a free report, a course, and the confidence to take that next step.
Neil’s story shows that with the right training and support, real change is possible.
Back in 2015, Gavin was unemployed and unsure of his next move. After enrolling on one of our training courses, everything changed. With our guidance and practical training, Gavin secured his first role with a lift company in Northfleet, Kent.
Fast forward to today, and Gavin has never been out of work since completing the course. He’s now a service and callout engineer for a respected lift firm in Dartford, having earned multiple promotions and built up a wealth of experience in the industry.
Looking back, Gavin often reflects on how different his life could have been. Before the course, he was working shifts at ASDA in Belvedere. Thanks to the opportunity to retrain and enter the lift industry, he now enjoys a stable, skilled career with great earning potential and job security.
Gavin’s journey highlights the impact of the right training and support. For those who feel stuck or unsure of how to move forward, his story proves that real change is possible—with the right course, a bit of effort, and a push in the right direction.
Daryl was working as a full-time lift engineer for a local company in Sidcup, with a solid job but limited prospects for long-term growth. He realised that without formal qualifications, his options would remain restricted. Determined to move forward, he attended a series of practical assessments and successfully earned his NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (Service & Repair). This qualification not only confirmed his skills—it unlocked new opportunities.
But Daryl didn’t stop there.
After a conversation with Rob at the Lift Industry Training Group, and with some thoughtful mentoring and strategic guidance, he began to see a new possibility: self-employment. Rob challenged him to think bigger, and with the right encouragement, Daryl took the leap.
He launched his own lift business.
The result? More flexibility, greater income potential, and the ability to control his own career path. What started with a single step—getting qualified—led to full independence and the chance to grow a business on his own terms.
Daryl’s journey is a clear, step-by-step example of how combining certified training, mentorship, and industry insight can move someone from being “just employed” to becoming a self-employed professional in high demand.
His story proves that with the right support, you can take control of your future too —whether you're starting fresh, already in the trade, or just curious about where the lift industry could take you.
When it comes to your future, you want proof—not promises. That’s why we let our past delegates do the talking. From struggling to find interviews to running successful self-employed businesses, our students prove what’s possible when you commit to change and trust a proven system.
Many walked through our doors nervous and unsure; within days they had clear pathways to employment, subcontracting roles, or business ownership. The best part? They all built stronger financial futures and more personal freedom along the way.
One thing we hear again and again is: “I wish I had found this sooner.” Don’t let another year pass stuck in a rut.

Eager to gain industry experience and direction, he enrolled on one of our 3-day introductory courses—designed specifically for individuals looking to take their first steps into the Lift & Escalator Industry.
During the course, Will was introduced to real-world lift environments and potential employers. A site visit to PEW Electrical gave him hands-on exposure to a wide range of lift components and systems, helping bridge the gap between his classroom studies and practical application.
Our team supported Will with interview preparation, industry insights, and direct introductions to companies looking for new talent. As a result, Will secured a role with a lift company in Bexleyheath shortly after completing the course.
Now a full-time, experienced lift engineer, Will is building a successful career in an industry that offers high demand and strong earning potential. His story proves how focused training, industry connections, and personalised support can turn a student into a confident, capable professional.
For anyone unsure about their next move or looking for a way into a well-paid, future-proof sector, Will’s journey shows just how valuable the right start can be. All it takes is a short course, some guidance, and the determination to succeed.

From Low-Paid Jobs to a Skilled Engineering Career. Sean came to us while he was still studying at Uxbridge College. Before starting his engineering training, his background was mostly made up of voluntary roles and general low-paid jobs—helping with admin, answering phones, and assisting contractors with manual work like paving, pointing, and curb laying. He even spent some time working at B&Q in a role that offered little excitement or progression.
He knew he wanted more—but wasn’t quite sure how to take the next step. That’s when he joined our training and mentoring programme.
With our support, Sean gained the technical knowledge, industry understanding, and hands-on insights that helped him stand out. He built confidence, sharpened his interview skills, and started to believe in his potential. Not long after, he secured an apprenticeship with a small lift company in Farnborough. That apprenticeship gave him the experience and credibility he needed to progress, and he later moved on to work with a larger, well-known lift firm in South-East London.
For anyone stuck in low-paid or dead-end jobs, unsure about how to break into a skilled industry, Sean’s story is proof that it’s possible. With the right guidance, a structured plan, and support from people who understand the industry, real transformation can happen. Sean now has a future in a technical trade with opportunity, stability, and room to grow.
And it all started with a decision to try something different.
